13th Nov - BCMG
In what is now an annual event, BCMG hired red indoor cushions for their afternoon event at CBSO Centre in Birmingham.
12th Nov - St. Godric Church, Duhram
Blue hire cushions were delevered to St. Godric's church in Durham for their charity concert. Music for an Autumn Evening with Virginia Kerr (accompanied by Paul McKenna on piano) was a great success and the cushions were well received.
Oct - Orchestra marketing
After a marketing campaign for our indoor hire cushions directed at amateur ochestras around the country who perform concerts in churches or church halls with hard seats or pews, there have been several enquiries and potential orders.
Oct - Wimbledon 2012
After close discussion with AELTCC and our suppliers, the 2012 Souvenir cushion design has been agreed.
August - Harpenden Film Society
Red indoor cushions were delivered to Harpenden for the Film Society. They will be using them for their run of films throughout the late summer and on first impressions have gone down really well. Please visit their website for details of what's on - www.harpendenfilmsociety.co.uk
25th July - C.S. Lewis Lectures (Oxford and Cambridge)
Red Indoor cushions were delivered to a church in Oxford prior to a set of lectures, then were collected and moved on to Cambridge where there were a further series of lectures. The cushions were then collected at the end having been a great success.
24th July - Cartier International Polo at Guards Polo Club Windsor
For the second year running British Cushions provided an on site hire cushion service to the general public from three barrows positioned around the grounds. We also took advance bookings from hospitality providers and delivered to their areas in the morning. The hospitality cushions were a massive success. This was the last year Cartier will sponsor the event so British Cushions are hopeful of working with future sponsors at the event.
18th July - Art in Action
Outdoor hire cushions were delivered into Watterperry Gardens for the annual event 'Art in Action'. British Cushions have been supplying cushions here for over 10 years and are pleased to be associated with the event. 14th July - Cowdray Park Polo
The new navy coloured Luxury cushions were delivered to Cowdray Park Polo Club for the Veuve Clicquot Gold Cup. The new navy blue cushions with full cushion gold embroidery branding of the Cowdray logo looked great and are striking in comparison to the dark green cushions previously supplied. The luxury cushions are perfect for this prestige event.
4th July - Tomahawk Theatre
Hire cushions delivered to the Tomahawk Theatre Company in Oxford. The theatre will be using them at Oxford Castle for their run of 'A Midsummer Nights Dream' at the open air theatre.
3rd July - Wimbledon
Congratulations to Novak Djokovic, a worthy and popular Champion. One of British Cushions favorite players. The special 2011 (125th anniversary) cushion was a success. Thanks to IMG for their help in making the sales a success.
22nd June - Wimbledon and Henley
Wimbledon is only 3 days into its fortnight and British Cushions need to replenish stocks at the Championships. A large delivery was made at 7.30am and on the way back to base delivered into Henley Regatta. The cushions there are used on the floating media area.
13th - 18th June - AEGON International Tennis at Eastbourne
The AEGON International is another summer event where British Cushions provide a full on site cushion hire service. We hired cushions, sold souvenir cushions and raincapes from our sole cushion barrow. We also provided hospitality with their daily requirements. The weather here also hindered sales at times but British Cushions had their best sales ever and were pleased the tournament was a success and finished on time.
8th - 18th June - Hampton Court Music Festival
British cushions provide a full on site hire cushion service from two cushion barrows for the 10 music concerts over two weeks. Artists including Ringo Star, Simple Minds, James Blunt and classical performances take place in one of the spectacular courtyards in the palace. It is a typically English event with customers encouraged to picnic on the lawns beforehand. Cushions can hired for use on the lawns for picnics and then taken into the courtyard to put on the plastic seats to make the performances more enjoyable! It was another successful year for both organisers and British Cushions.
6th - 12th June - AEGON Tennis Championships at Queens Club, London
British Cushions provide a full on site cushion hire and sale service to the general public for the entire Championships from 3 sales units. We also provide a delivery service to all the hospitality providers at Queens who order in advance for their clients. Despite the weather and the extra day, the tournament was a huge success for both AEGON and British Cushions with our sales increasing on last year. We also provided raincapes (which were needed on some days!!) and AEGON branded souvenir cushions which are becoming very popular.
1st June - Wimbledon Preparations
Today saw a trip to Wimbledon to deliver in the their opening stocks of souvenir cushions.
29th May - Rod Stewart Concert at Newbury Racecourse
British Cushions provided a hire cushion service for the Rod Stewart concert at Newbury Racecourse. It was the venue's first non race meet concert and British Cushions were happy to be working in conjunction with the Racecourse. The concert was a success and we hope we can continue to work at the Racecourse at further concerts in the future.
12th May - Ricoh Arena Conference
British Cushions provided 2000 hire cushions for Roebuck productions who organised a conference in the Jaguar Hall at the RICOH Arena in Coventry. The conference was for the Whitbread Group of companies and British Cushions provided a putting out and collection service for the event.
8th May - Star Events
Our close relationship with Star Events, the seating company, enabled British Cushions to provide cushions for the Royal Box at the Windsor Horse Show. The red indoor hire cushions were well received and looked great on the grey seating that Star Events use. We hope to provide many more cushions for the Star Events seats in the future.
27th April - Nottinghamshire CCC Cushions.
British Cushions were proud to deliver Nottinghamshire Souvenir Cricket cushions to Trent Bridge. This is the first time in many years we have worked with them and are pleased to have provided the branded cushions which will be available in the club shop and in hospitality.
18th April - Warwickshire CCC Cushions.
The Warwickshire CCC cushions were delivered to Edgbaston. The new development there looks great. The Cushions were the same design as last year as the order was a top up. Our relationship with Warwickshire has been going for many years and we look forward to continuing this. The cushions will be available in the shop.
2nd April - Wotton Concerts
The final Wotton concert took place and British Cushions again provided 400 red indoor cushions for the event. We provided our full set out and take in service. We hope the 3 concert series were a success and that they will be repeated again next year and British Cushions will be used. The cushions were well received and we only had positive feedback from customers.
28th March / 31st March - HSBC Conference at NEC
HSBC ordered 1600 indoor hire cushions for their annual conference at the NEC. The event organisers -WRG Creative Communication - used our full set out and take in service. British Cushions put all 1600 cushions out on each seat prior to the event and collected them in after. Five staff took less than an hour to set out and take in. The red cushions matched the HSBC brand colour brilliantly and the cushions fitted the seats perfectly. The seat providers, Star Events Group, commented on how well the cushions fitted and we hope to develop a partnership with them in the future.
26th March - Northampton Basketball Club Cushions
Northampton Basketball Club souvenir cushions were delivered today. These will be for sale to spectators shortly at home matches as they sit on American style bleachers. This will give spectators added comfort and a great branded item to carry around to show support for their teams. Thanks go to John Collins and Coach Karen for having the foresight to see the need for them and helping with the organisation of it all. A photo of the cushion is on our Facebook page.
15th March 2011 - Coral Cushions
Branded cushions for the bookmaker 'CORAL' were delivered yesterday to Cheltenham racecourse. These square souvenir cushions are for corporate guests and will be used in the hospitality suites. Please go to our facebook page to see pictures.
3rd March 2011 - Wotton Concerts
The Hire Cushions at Wootten Under Edge Church were a great success in February. They were used for a piano recital and the concert was part of a three concert series.
The concert - Catherine Wyn-Rogers with Klaus Sallmann, was a huge success and British Cushions were happy to add to the comfort of the guests. For both concerts the cushions have gone down favourably and been positively mentioned, not only for adding comfort for the audience but also with the asthetics of the venue.
The final concert in the series is 'Music from Fauré's France' on Saturday 2nd April 7.30pm. Britsh Cushions will again be providing cushions.
